FITCHBURG — The North Central Massachusetts Development Corp., the economic development arm of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, recently approved a $44,000 loan to RA Aldrich Trucking in Fitchburg to assist with the purchase of a 2020 Peterbilt tractor Model 389 to replace the current truck that the Development Corp. financed a couple of years ago.
“When I started my business three years ago, I applied for a loan to facilitate the purchase of my first truck to make petroleum deliveries,” said Rafael Aldrich, owner of RA Aldrich Trucking. “Thanks to the financial assistance and support from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation, I’ve been able to update my equipment and continue growing my business.”
As a microloan lender, the Development Corp. can provide loans to small businesses up to $250,000 for working capital, real estate, equipment, inventory, expansion and working with our banking partners to provide gap financing for the final piece of a project.
